Flashback Friday #5

This flashback is to April 1972. You'll notice that even in 1972 the weather was an issue in parts of the world, this article shows Indonesia hitting an all time low temperature of 69.4F which was the lowest temperatures since that country had started recording.

A few notes - Ernie Leonhardt was still employed with Bawden- Noble Drilling until 1996 when Nabors Drilling bought the Canadian operations, he then moved onto Nabors. The pages from both Doghouse Doings and the Noble Link that I have been copying and posting are from the magazines that Ernie has generously lent me.

Len Phelps went on to become a competitor, starting Phelps Drilling.

In the Edmonton news it says we were in the middle of a deepfreeze but didn't bother to list the temperatures, so obviously it wasn't setting records.
